personality:
Zoro’s the most cautious/untrusting Strawhat. His method of dealing with people is glaring at them or staring them down. And if they shrink back then they’re pretending and hiding something and if they meet his gaze then they’re even more suspicious. That’s the way his mind works. In order to gain his trust you have to do something either honorable or loyal to impress him. It’s just the way he rolls.
In a fight, Zoro’s a completely different person. Canonly he’s been said to give off an aura of killing energy or something like that and he’s also been described as a “beast”. Both are pretty much true since he gets sort of crazy during a fight. Since fighting is pretty much all he lives for, it’s not really all that strange for him to get so pumped up about it. It isn’t unsual for Zoro to get tremendously excited when facing a challenging opponent, especially when that opponent could possibly be better than him. That’s just when he gets more excited. Fighting also brings out his cockiness and sometimes overconfidence, often taking the form of taunts such as “when I defeat you” etc. To his credit, he almost always stays true to those taunts.
Outside of a fight, Zoro remains fairly stern and quiet, unless he’s being made fun of. Then he has these little outbursts of anger for comedic purposes. But, for the most part he’s quiet and often keeps to himself. Most of the time he’s training, drinking sake, or sleeping when not involved in an adventure with the crew. Out of the three, training is the most common. This is because he favors improving himself (except for the drinking) over socializing with the crew. By improving himself he can defeat more advanced opponents in battle and both protect the crew and achieve his goal of becoming the best swordsman in the world faster.
Although upon first glance, Zoro seems cold and distant because of his stern exterior, he’s actually very protective and close to the rest of the crew. For example, to Chopper, the youngest of the crew, he acts similarly to the way an older brother would act. In fact, Zoro is so protective of his crew that if he thinks the situation is dire enough, he will immediately offer up his life in place of the crew. This can be seen most specifically in relation to Luffy on numerous occasions, the most notable being with Bartholomew Kuma in Thriller Bark.
And though he pretends to be otherwise, he does feel pretty strongly about protecting anyone defenseless that he sees in immediate danger. He also has an extremely strong tendency to honor promises, including his debts to people. This can be seen in his relationship with Luffy, among others.
Zoro also has his moments of actually being pretty damn wise. Most of these moments happen during a battle or in relation to captain-crew relationships. On occasions, he’ll act as the reminder to the crew that they are pirates and need to take things more seriously than they do. The best example of this is when Luffy was close to accepting Usopp as a crew member after a very serious argument which Usopp lost and got kicked out of the crew for. It was Zoro during this moment who said that unless Usopp apologized to Luffy for challenging his leadership, he couldn’t be accepted back into the crew as that would belittle Luffy’s position as captain. It’s in moments like that that we see that Zoro is wiser than he first lets on, and does actually think of the rest of the crew.
That being said, Zoro does make fairly foolish decisions. Though he can come up with good strategies and suggestions during battle, most of the time they end up relying on luck. Zoro trusts Lady Luck an absurd amount. This comes from his strong belief in destiny; if it’s not destined to happen then it won’t happen and he’s fine with that.
abilities/powers:
SWORDSMANSHIP: Zoro is a swordsman. A pretty over-powered one. In the already over-powered Strawhat crew, Zoro is ranked number 2 in terms of strength. Over the course of the series, he has been able to cut through iron, rocks, buildings, ships and a manner of other things he really should not be able to cut through. He's strongest when using three swords (one in either hand and one in his mouth which is completely ridiculous but he's from a shonen manga), and "weakest" when using one. It should be noted that "weakest" for him isn't really all that weak, as he's defeated a number of amazingly strong enemies with only one.
He has a number of techniques that have currently been shown in canon. They are all incredibly stupid but he will probably use them in Abax so here's the list:
Santoryu Ogi: Rokudo no Tsuji
Curving his body, Zoro swings his swords in an inverted 'S' while spinning vertically. It manages to cut an opponent in six places simultaneously.
Kokujo: O Tatsumaki
Zoro spins his swords which apparently has the ability to create a tornado shaped like a dragon that obviously cuts and blows away opponents. It can also keep going–much like a normal tornado–for about... let's say three minutes (in canon, there's no official endpoint to it...)
Rengoku Oni Giri
Zoro crosses his two swords over his chest and places the blade in his mouth horizontally between them. He then turns and leaps at the oncoming attacker, leaving an 'X' shaped scar on their chest somehow.
Ul-Tora Gari
Zoro puts his hand-blades over his stupid mouth-blade and swings down and forward with them. Somehow a tiger's head is generated from that but it's really unlikely I'll ever have that shit happen in Abax because it's pretty stupid out of context. Let's be honest.
HAKI
In One Piece, Haki is a relatively new technique that can be simply defined as being able to sense spiritual energies and overpower enemies (as if they needed any help doing that). There are three types of Haki, but Zoro can only for-sure use one of them so that's what we'll go with. He can use Busoshoku Haki, which is the type that allows for armor to be made out of the spiritual energy, protecting its user from otherwise significant harm. It can only be crushed if hit with an overwhelming force and can also be equipped as a weapon, making normal attacks hit harder or farther (if used as an extension).
IMMENSE STRENGTH
Like all shonen heroes, Zoro exhibits tremendous strength. It seems to be more exaggerated than most, however, since he once picked up an entire building with his two hands and threw it off of him. While horribly injured. I'll probably downplay this in-game, making the most he'll pick up–if ever–being like a dragon or something. He'll stay away picking up buildings, at least.
SKILLED FIGHTER
There have been few cases where Zoro has been shown fighting without a weapon, but when he does it's made clear he can still hold his own. While not the best, he has been able to hold his ground against other crewmembers like Sanji–who specialize in weaponless-fighting–showing that he does hold at least some capable skill.
WHERE THE FUCK AM I?
I don't even know if this counts but Zoro sure does have the ability to have no sense of direction. He knows directions as words, but when attempting to put them to use he always seems to get lost. For instance, he will think that he is going north when really he's going south. He will see a destination directly across from him where really the only thing he has to do is walk in a straight line and somehow he'll manage to take a turn and veer off in a completely incorrect direction. Basically, he has the superb ability to pretty much always get lost.
HOW THE FUCK ARE YOU STILL ALIVE?
Zoro has the ability to never stop bleeding. You could say it's extreme endurance but really it goes beyond that as I'm pretty sure he's had the entirety of his blood supply out of his body at some point and yet still remained standing. And breathing. And fighting (see the instances with Kuma, Mr. 1, Mihawk). While this doesn't make him invulnerable it does make him really hard to kill.
first person sample:
Here's one.

third person sample:
The hat got in his way, with it’s troublesome wide brim. The mask too, impaired his vision. Made the fight last longer than he would have liked. Injured him more than he would have liked. True, he could have removed both, but when there were bullets bouncing off the wall and the battle had started it was hard to pull one’s mind away. So the ridiculous hat and mask had stayed on, impairing him-handicapping him.
But at the same time, it was a challenge, albeit one he had faced before. Still, a good challenge bears repeating though Zoro did wish it were against opponents more capable than these. He would have to make do with what he had, however, and at the moment all he had was a bunch of thugs shooting poorly at him.
There were about eight in total when he had quite literally stumbled onto the scene, lost once again in the relatively new City. It was nighttime, which was why he wore the ridiculous black gaucho hat and mask that had gotten him into this trouble. Usopp and Sanji had given both to him, telling him that disguises were necessary at night. Though he had suspected otherwise, he chose to trust them, seeing as they had been in this world longer.
He had learned his lesson.
The moment he had stumbled onto the thugs’ there was a few moments pause as both sides took time to recognize what was going on. They were in the middle of some sort of deal, probably something illegal.
“It’s one of dem heroes!” One of them shouted, drawing a gun. At the sight of the weapon, Zoro had drawn his own, setting his third sword in his mouth just as the first bullet was shot. More followed and Zoro deflected them all with ease, even with his impaired vision. There was cursing, then more bullets, the sound of said bullets bouncing off of metal, and then the soft thump of bodies hitting the ground.
There were eight when he had started, now there was only one. With a single sword, he sliced through the thug’s gun as if it were paper. The thug cried out, startled and started to back away from the advancing Zoro. His back hit the wall, and Zoro grinned, drawing out his blades, readying himself for a final attack.
The thug’s eyes widened as he held his hands up in front of him, as if to protect himself. “Zorro, don’t man! ‘m sorry ‘bout earlier, it was a misunderstanding—!” The thug’s pleas were quieted by the tip of Zoro’s blade held close to his throat.
“How do you know my name?” Sanji had told him their bounties didn’t exist here and if that was the case, there was no way this kid could know his name. So why did he?
“Wha—? Man, ain’t that who you dressed up as? All Mask of Zorro and shit! Actin like fuckin Antonio Banderas—“ Zoro knocked the kid out before he could finish. Removing the hat and mask, he ran a hand through his hair as he scowled. Disguise his ass. He’d get Usopp and Sanji back for that.**
