crudest: (♚ king of everything)
[Hello honey, I'm back from the void.

Okay so that's not really the message - whenever Zoro makes it back to his garage after the week is over, he'll find that the driver's seat of all the cars are covered in passive aggressive sticky notes. Different insults like STUPID, MORON, IDIOT, FOOL - pick your poison. They're probably sticky notes from Retrospec's basement.

But there's also something left on a table. A new set of keys - with a rainbow keychain - sitting on top of another sticky note. On that sticky note, there's just an address and "don't forget to bring the keys, stupid." There's also one small printed wallet-sized photo of an oceanscape with reefs and a shipwreck in the background.

Whenever Zoro actually chooses to go exploring and check out the address, he'll find that his keys obviously work for the location. It's a studio apartment that's decently high with a nice view of the city. All the paperwork's already been done in Zoro's name because Baren hates putting his name and signing things and it's barely furnished. There's basic groceries in the fridge and utensils in the kitchen at least, plus a bed - but back to that later.

One side of the studio is kept entirely clear so that one wall isn't blocked by anything. From floor to ceiling, there's portrait-sized photo after photo of different ocean scenes. They're not the ocean that Zoro knows, definitely an alternate reality one with creepy monsters and weird-looking fish. It's not colorful, not yet, but there's definitely a small iPad on a table playing a loop of a video that Baren took while away. That is vibrant with blues and greens.

As for Baren himself -

Well, he'd intended on not being there when Zoro found the apartment, but also he's exhausted. Some of his clothes are already in a drawer if Zoro goes looking and it seems that he paused his day to occupy the bed of a nap, curled up like a cat and not waking up unless Zoro made a lot of noise when he came in.

Well.

Welcome home, Zoro.]
