[Zoro spends a good hour or three picking the post-it notes off his cars after a long, tiring day of fighting. The resignation to his fate doesn't prevent him from feeling slight annoyance at the rainbow keychain. He yanks it off and leaves it on his work bench. Even the insulting note on the keys earns a frown. Only the picture manages to soothe him. A shot of the ocean and all is forgiven.

It takes him a few days before he has the energy to travel to the address. The building is fancy–more high-class than he's used to. More sophisticated than he's comfortable with. He steps out of the taxi and consults the post-it for the address. Despite that he still winds up at the wrong door. It takes him three tries before he arrives at the door. Unsurprisingly the key fits in the door; he peeks in before entering. Nothing. He steps in.

His first impression of the building was right. The studio is more extravagant than he's used to. Something he'd expect to see in a romantic comedy and not his own life. Was this Baren's idea of a joke?

And then he sees it–the photo collage mural plastering an entire wall. Even in grayscale the ocean remains reassuring. He skims his fingers over the photos, regarding each alien animal with silent reverence. He sits with them for awhile, captivated by the landscape he had long ago fallen in love with. Halfway down the wall the video catches his eyes and it's breathtaking. A slice of home he thought he'd lost. He carries the ipad with him as he explores what's left.

The kitchen is stocked with both kitchenware and food but it's only when he finds Baren's personal drawer that the significance of the apartment reaches him.

This is the replacement.

Idiot.

[Muttered fondly as he slides the drawer closed. The fondness lives on in a smile as he moves to the bed, shaking his head at Baren's sleeping position.]

Idiot. [Muttered again as he pulls the sheets over him, lightly ruffling his hair. Then he moves back to the collage room and, quietly as he can, orders Baren's favorite takeout.]
